The objective was to design a social media post, combining a powerful quote with striking imagery. The goal was to explore typography, layout, and emotional tone, ensuring the message remained clear while enhancing it through visual storytelling and composition.

For the Halloween-themed post, I used a whimsical yet classic typeface to reflect the magical tone of Aggie Cromwell’s quote, pairing it with imagery of elderly women to add warmth. Seasonal colours like orange and black reinforce the theme, and curved quotations lend a conversational touch. In contrast, the second post uses a bold sans-serif font and a moody hockey image to match the introspective tone of Mary Anne Radmacher’s quote, with key phrases emphasized for impact.

Adobe InDesign was used for layout and typography, while Photoshop helped adjust images sourced from StockCake. The final posts effectively convey emotion and clarity, showcasing how thoughtful design choices in font, layout, and imagery can strengthen a message’s emotional resonance.
