Travel Time Magazine
Role: Lead Designer
Format: Magazine Spread (8.5" x 11")
Tools: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

For this project, I designed a two-page magazine spread in InDesign based on an article about Aruba. My goal was to create a layout that felt vibrant and inviting—something that would draw readers in and make the content easy to navigate. I focused on striking a balance between automation and hands-on design, using both to bring the article to life.

I started by setting up text frames for the headline, subheadings, and body copy, along with dedicated spaces for images that would help visually tell the story. InDesign’s automatic text threading came in handy for flowing the main article across both pages, especially when working with a large volume of content.

Once the basic structure was in place, I shifted to fine-tuning the layout. I manually wrapped text around images, adjusted spacing around subheadings, and refined alignment to ensure the pages looked clean and cohesive. The automation sped things up, but it was the manual tweaks that really made the design feel polished and natural.
